'Rare Disco & Soul 1976/1978' is an unmissable compilation of absolute treasures that have been played in the golden age of disco, that is the years between 1976 and 1978. Maybe the most sensational track is “The more I get to know you” by Five Special. This compilation is inspired by various personalities, djs Bob Day and Tom Sison, resident at a famous club in Gabicce ʻBaia degli Angeliʼ; Rubens, a dj of international renown, resident at some of the most famous Italian clubs like Les Cigales, Baia degli Angeli, New York, Goody Goody; and Tom Moulton, the creator of the golden age disco music. Moulton, producer and arranger, used to create tracks to be danced in the clubs all around the world.
Among his greatest remix we can recall: 'La Vie En Rose' by Grace Jones, 'Love Is The Message' by M.F.S.B., First Choice with 'Doctor Love' and 'Love Sensation' by Loleatta Holloway. Here some tracks of the compilation: “Use your imagination” by Kokomo, “My first mistake” by Chi Lites, found them in some Larry Levanʼs sets; “Hey baby” by Anthony White, a classic of Philadelphia International Records, the fantastic Johnnie Taylorʼs sound of “Youʼre the best girl in the world”, the elegant Demis Roussos with his “Let it happen” and last but not least “Sunshower” by Dr. Buzzardʼs Original Savannah Band.
'Rare Disco & Soul 1976/1978' represents the pleasure to celebrate the big console performers that gave life to an exceptional and unrepeatable musical moment.
